Federal judge rejects challenge to Ten Commandments monument

MUSKOGEE - A federal judge ruled Friday that a Ten Commandments monument on the courthouse lawn in Haskell County is constitutional and may stay.

In the 43-page ruling, U.S. District Judge Ronald White said Haskell County did not overstep the constitutional line "demarcating government neutrality towards religion."

The monument does not violate the Establishment Clause and may remain on the court...
