Halzle set to battle for starting QB job

NORMAN - Whether Joey Halzle steps into the position of Oklahoma’s starting quarterback remains to be seen. If he does, though, the Sooners won’t be lacking for confidence behind center.

Although he hasn’t played a game for OU, the sophomore most likely is atop the Sooners’ depth chart at quarterback after returning starter Rhett Bomar was dismissed from the team Wednesday.
