'American Idol' Returns in January

FOX announced its 2009-2010 mid-season schedule today.
January starts off on a high note when the ninth season of "American Idol" -- television's No. 1 series -- begins with a two-night premiere Tuesday, Jan. 12 at 8 p.m. and Wednesday, Jan. 13 at 8 p.m.
Also returning in January is the action-thriller "24," starring Keifer Sutherland as Jack Bauer. "24" clocks in with a two-night, four-hour premiere beginning on Sunday, Jan. 17 at 9 p.m. and concluding on Monday, Jan. 18 at 8 p.m. on FOX.
