Abused Corgi mix needs a new Oklahoma home

BROKEN ARROW — A dog whose owner was convicted this week of felony animal cruelty has recovered from his injuries and is now looking for a new home, officials said.

Buddy, a 2- to 3-year-old Corgi mix, was found in his owner’s backyard by Broken Arrow police on July 7 after calls from concerned neighbors.

"The dog’s chain had become embedded in his neck to the point that the flesh around it was bloody and rotting,” said Maj. Carole Newell, Broken Arrow police spokeswoman.
